Purple Orchid Resort & Spa
Looking for a Valentine’s dinner that your Valentine will love?
I’ll be honest, I don’t typically have this problem. As a military family, my Valentine is often gone for Valentine’s Day. Many of you, however, feel the pressure to plan an amazing night for your better half. But look no further, I’ve got the perfect suggestion to knock your loved one off their feet!
(…Or, if you are flying solo, grab another single friend to go with you any way!)
French Cuisine and fine wine
It’s pretty well known that French Cuisine is the Gold Standard of the culinary world. Also pretty well known? Paris is The City of Love. Purple Orchid Resort & Spa has teamed up with Cuda Ridge Wines to offer an incredible Valentine Winemaker’s Dinner this year. The French Cuisine menu is paired with Bordeaux style wines from the local winemaker. On the menu, some of the foods you will find include: Bouillabaisse, Coq au vin, Landaise Salad, and a Cheese & Sweet Dessert course. To see the full menu and pairings, check below for details. To continue the romantic French theme for the evening, I highly recommend your own screening of the enchanting Amélie.
The fun doesn’t need to end so soon
Since you’ll be out there anyway, 😉 why not take a long weekend? Check out the couples spa packages at Purple Orchid Spa & Resort, as Yvette mentioned in her post, “Drop Your Valentine a Hint This Year,” as well as their lodging availability. If a long weekend isn’t in the cards, consider stopping over at Cuda Ridge Wines for the 10th Annual Wines, Vines, and Valentines event. The event runs during President’s day weekend, February 18th & 19th from 12-4:30 pm. The 2014 S&M (Sangiovese & Malbec) blend will be released and available for tasting. The weekend will feature live music as well; if you make it out there on Saturday, you can catch Acoustic Folk Rock group, “The Frankie Bones Project“. Pay a visit on Sunday, and you will have the chance to hear Lexi-Blair.
