Livermore’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner
November is the month of the year where we put emphasis on what we are thankful for! Whether that be family, friends, possessions or state of being; as individuals we all have something we are thankful for. Thanksgiving dinner is often where family and friends gather over a big turkey and sparkling cider to celebrate this holiday. In my opinion, there are three important ingredients for an awesome Thanksgiving dinner; family, food and fun! All that you can find at Livermore’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner whether you’re there to dine or volunteer!
Seeking turkey cookers and dessert servers!! If you’re America’s next top chef and would like to show off your turkey skills, then volunteer your skills for this dinner event! After speaking to coordinators of this event, they told me they’re in need for turkey cookers and dessert servers! So if that appeals to you, then volunteer!
In the past, I have volunteered my time to help serve amazing Thanksgiving dinners and if you would like to do so as well, you’re in luck! This year marks the 34th annual Livermore’s Community Thanksgiving Dinner where you can volunteer to serve and socialize with members of your community. With the Thanksgiving dinner being served from 1pm to 5pm, you can make new friends from your local community. Enjoying a meal or volunteering, you have this opportunity to spend Thanksgiving with your local community.
You can take a role from various positions should you choose to volunteer for this great event. Roles such as stewards, set up, table monitors, servers and much more allow you to really take part in this Thanksgiving dinner. One role I would definitely recommend partaking in is the VA Hospital Helper. These helpers get to socialize with veterans and their families, and from my experience I can vouch and say that you will learn new things, history and stories that will forever speak to your soul.
