Living a military life, I’ve traveled all over and lived in a ton of places. Everywhere I’ve gone, I’ve gushed about Livermore; people inevitably want to know what is so great about it. Honestly, I think I may have a real-life “heart-eyes emoji” face when I talk about it. So, I understand the skepticism, but…
Diversity means amazing choice and adventure
One of the many reasons I list for loving Livermore is our diversity and admiration for different cultures. This is readily apparent in our dining selection around town. Heck, Livermore had a great and varied selection even when it was smaller, but growth has only made it better.
Lemongrass Thai Restaurant
I lived in south and central New Jersey from late 2007- mid 2010 and my number one complaint was lack of cuisine selection close to home. Ask anyone who knew me then; they will confirm how much I whined missed having anything besides Italian food (albeit incredible) to choose from. Coming home for visits, the most consistent must-go was Lemongrass.
Lemongrass Thai Restaurant is located downtown Livermore, on First street. It has a romantic atmosphere in addition to its mouthwatering flavors! It’s an ideal date location, but you can even just call in an order for take-out. When I worked at Panama Bay, that was such a convenience.
My Personal favorites
I’m a sucker for all things spicy, but if that isn’t your thing, no fear! It seems to be a common misconception that Thai = Curry = Spicy. First, try a plate of Samosas for your appetizer and you will be hooked. You can’t go wrong with the yellow curry dish for your entree. Try adding the Pad Thai noodles, Se Eew noodles, or Thai fried rice for a side. Mmm. There are also salads, vegetarian options, and desserts to choose from. I hear that the fried banana with ice cream is awesome, but I’ve never personally had enough room for dessert there.
