Have you noticed Livermore’s booming Craft Beer Scene? Brian Luke, owner/operator of the popular Livermore Wine Trolley has and soon he’ll be introducing a new, fun and safe way to experience beer tasting in town. Brian, also a Firefighter, Engineer for Santa Clara County Fire Department is no stranger to driving large vehicles and now he’s adding something new to his fleet of five, the Blue Brew Bus!
Brian loves that the local Livermore Mirco-Breweries are making a name for themselves in today’s Craft Beer Industry. With the Blue Brew Bus he can now feature breweries on his tours like Altamont Beer Works, Eight Bridges Brewing Co., the new Shadow Puppet Brewing Co. and Working Man Brewing Co. And I love that he’s even coordinated discounts at local downtown restaurants so you can grab a bite to eat before or after.
The bus has been a real work of art for Brian, inside and out. “I knew I wanted the name to be the Blue Brew Bus”, Brian told me and from there he had fun deciding what it would look like. “The bus has a whole different feeling than the trolleys,” says Brian. Unlike the trolleys that come just how they look, the bus needed to be created from scratch. Surprisingly though, he found one already blue! It’s definitely not your typical bus. One of my favorite features; the state-of-the-art sound system, which Brian credits Scotty at RockStar Audio. It was crystal clear and evenly distributed throughout the bus making it easy to still hold conversions with one another. Plus, I just love music! Scotty also took care of some very cool interior running lights (that change color), a triple tap kegerator and the two large refrigerated coolers, helping Brian bring his ideas and creativity to life!
Brian has been successfully operating the Livermore Wine Trolley business for three years this May and has grown it to include five trolleys. With the Blue Brew Bus now complete, the Beer Tasting Tours are scheduled to begin mid-May, 2017, and Brian looks forward to its own expansion as well in the years to come.
That’s right, he’s got you covered for those to-go growlers you pick up along the way.
For his logo design and all the graphics on the bus, Brian turned to his brother, David Luke with Luke Design Associates, Check out the awesome work he did!
