Keep your Mardi Gras and the good times rolling!
If you can’t make it to the Bothwell Bash, or you just want to enjoy some amazing Cajun food all year, cruise on down to The Backyard Bayou at the Vineyard! Conveniently located across from the theater, there is plenty of close parking at the garage. The Cajun-Asian fusion menu features a great selection of seafood and southern favorites. Popular dishes recommended for a first visit include their Po’Boys, Blackened Salmon, and Fresh Oysters.
Livermore is a culinary treasure trove
As I’ve mentioned, I love the small feel town feel of Livermore! I have also, however, always appreciated that our restaurant selection does not reflect a small town feel. Speaking with the manager, Michael, it’s clear that he feels the same. When asked what he believed made Livermore so special, Michael said, “We love that Livermore is a growing, thriving city, yet it maintains the intimacy and coziness of a tight knit community. Downtown Livermore is on the cusp of becoming a new culinary destination, and we are proud to be a part of the movement.” Well said!
Backyard Bayou at the Vineyard’s Mardi Gras 2017
February 25th-26th, the restaurant will feature live music, as well as huge specials on food and drinks. Furthermore, on Tuesday the 28th, the Backyard Bayou will be have a festive party to celebrate Mardi Gras. In addition to the specials, Zydeco and New Orleans style Jazz, there will be a free photo booth, and the celebration is open to the public.
Not only is this a great selection during this time of year, but they regularly feature live music on weekends. They also have a full bar , TVs (hello Sunday sportsmen), and a beautiful patio to boot. Warmer weather will be back before we know it; I can’t imagine anything better than relaxing in a warm breeze with a beignet… Or maybe a Chardonnay and some crab cakes during their happy hour!
